Aim: The use of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composites presents an attractive alternative where noncorrosive and nonmagnetic characteristics are sought. As such understanding their behavior is of prime importance. This session is a forum to exchange research and practice findings related to the mechanical behavior of fiber reinforced composites when used in structural engineering.

Topics:
1-Strengthening of concrete, steel, masonry and timber structures using FRP composites.
2-Smart FRP structures.
3-Durability and long-term behavior of FRP structures.
4-Design guidelines.
5-Mechanical performance of FRP strengthened and of FRP reinforced concrete.
