Title of the Paper: MCDM Modelling on Instant Message App Adoption by University Students: A Case Study in Taiwan

Abstract: The Instant Message (IM) applications (app) offers users the ability to online chat online anytime and anywhere, and is surging in popularity. What are the adoption determinants of IM app when university students faced with an IM app evaluation problem? The aim of this paper is to study the adoption determinants of IM app by proposing a Multiple-Criteria-Decision-Making (MCDM) model. According to the results, among the six dimensions, “group networking” and “easy to use” are ranked as the most important dimensions in the evaluation of IM apps. The results provide insights for users, app designers and the related parties.

Title of the Paper: MS Excel Spreadsheet as a Tool for Mathematical Modeling and Computer Simulation of Simple Permutation Brainteaser

Abstract: Mathematical modeling of real phenomena and processes is understand as one of the way of scientific research. The computer simulation supports and develops mathematical modeling in form of executing and visualization of given model The computer simulation can be created not only in specialized programming languages designed specifically for the requirements of simulations, but also in standard programming languages e.g. in Visual Basic for Application in MS Excel Spreadsheet. The modeling and computer simulation supports the concept of the system and the system approach that is broadly used not only in the natural sciences and in technical disciplines, but also begins to be applied in other scientific disciplines such sociology, psychology and other social sciences. Regarding the fact, the education has to reflect and support the application of scientific principles, the principles of system approach, modeling and computer simulation are applied even to pedagogical science and education. The paper describes both the principles of implementation system approach, modeling and computer simulation to teaching of informatics as well as the case study of student’s final project – design and programming of serious game in form of computer simulation of a simple permutation brainteaser in programming language Visual Basic for Application in MS Excel Spreadsheet. The case study represents an example of computer simulation game that was designed and created by prospective teacher of informatics within their final project.

Title of the Paper: Application of Rasch Model in Evaluating the Reliability and Quality of Examination Paper for Object-Oriented Design Course

Abstract: Exam has been used enormously as an assessment tool to measure students’ academic performance in most of the higher institutions in KSA. A good quality of a set of constructed items/questions on mid and final exam would be able to measure both students’ academic performance and their cognitive skills. We adopt Rasch Model to evaluate the reliability and quality of the first mid exam questions for Object-oriented Design course. The result showed that the reliability and quality of the exam questions constructed were relatively good and calibrated with students’ learned ability.

Title of the Paper: Expansion of Game Refinement Theory into Continuous Movement Games: A Comparison of Two Video Games

Abstract: Different frameworks for the scientific analysis of varying aspects of games have been developed. Aside from conventional game theory and AI for games, game refinement theory can be used to evaluate basics of the search-space complexity, uncertainty of outcome, and acceleration of game information at game’s end. The original model was developed to show a measure of game information with some relation to a game’s entertainment with respect to that game’s history. In prior studies, analysis of discrete movement board games has shown a tendency toward a certain value, based on a model of the evolution of chess. Using a modified logistic model of game progress, game information from other non-board game type games have shown a similar value describing an aspect of entertainment in those games. This paper uses game refinement theory to analyze and consider the game information of two continuous movement video games of contemporary popularity, Pac-Man and Defense of the Ancients.

Title of the Paper: Detection Ventricular Tachycardia and Fibrillation Using the Lempel-Ziv Complexity and Wavelet Transform

Abstract: Detection of ventricular tachycardia (VT) and ventricular fibrillation (VF) is crucial for the success of saving the patient’s life. The complexity of the heart signals has changed significantly when the heart state switches. In this study we proposed a novel method for detection of ventricular fibrillation (VF) and ventricular tachycardia (VT), based upon the Lempel-Ziv complexity and Wavelet transform. With Mallat’s pyramidal algorithms, first decomposed electrocardiogram (ECG) signals and reconstructed it into approximate and detail coefficients. Then the complexity of each scale was used as a feature to be sent to SVM classifiers. Furthermore, other classification VT and VF methods were used. The experimental results showed the proposed method could successfully distinguish VF from VT with the highest accuracy up to 99.50%.

Title of the Paper: Research of Quality of Life of Informatics Students Through Innovative Application

Abstract: The article deals with the current population’s quality of life standard. It compares the relation between the beginning and the end of university studies and between university students of two towns in the Czech Republic. It follows up Vital Mind project which was going on at University of Hradec Kr?lov?. It presents the results of the research carried out in five years as a part of students’ projects. More than one hundred and fifty university students participated in the study. It was conducted in 4 groups of respondents. To assess the quality of life standard the method of subjective questioning SEIQoL based on a guided interview was used. The study provides an innovative newly created application for the online electronic completion and evaluation of the questionnaire.

Title of the Paper: The Centrality Ranking Algorithm Based on the Network Structure

Abstract: Centrality is an important measurement of network structure. The node centrality ranking algorithm is to calculate the significant degree of nodes in social networks. An improved algorithm of ranking node centrality is present in this issue. Numerical simulation showed the feasibility and validity of the node centrality ranking algorithm, the convergence of the algorithm is proved by Perron-Frobenius Theorem. Comparing with the previous centrality algorithms, it exhibited more efficiency in computing complexity. Meanwhile, an edge centrality ranking algorithm and its efficiency is discussed too.

Title of the Paper: PaSSIL: A New Keystroke Dynamics System for Password Strengthening Based on Inductive Learning

Abstract: In this paper, anew inductive learning system, called PaSSIL, has been developed aims at strengthening the security of systems through keystroke dynamics against both online and offline attackers. The proposed system involves collecting data that represents the biometric patterns of users and converting this biometric data into features that can be manipulated by our inductive learning algorithm called ILA that produces inductive rules that are, in turn, used to classify the legitimate user (called the owner) from adversaries. This system is non-static and since features are a function of the user and the environment, it takes into consideration the gradual changes that happen in the way a user enters his password. Experiments have been conducted on data collected from hundreds of users and compared with our previous work and with some well-known systems. The results obtained are comparable with other systems if not better.

Title of the Paper: System Dynamics Modeling and Simulation on Medical Service Pricing of Government and Hospitals Co-Decision

Abstract: The methodology of System Dynamics-based modeling is argued to be a powerful and rigorous approach to theory-building. The argument of the paper is underpinned by an application of System Dynamics to the elaboration of a theory in medical service pricing. To improve the current pricing mechanism dominated by the government, the paper sets up the Causal Relationship model of medical service pricing to analyze dynamic equilibrium between various factors. And then this paper breaks the government independent pricing mode and establishes the pricing model based on government and hospitals co-decision that can avoid many existing drawbacks. Furthermore, this paper applies System Dynamics theory to build the simulation model of medical service pricing on Vensim simulation platform. In addition, based on Guangzhou health status, this paper applies this model to simulate the pricing process of Cardiac Output measurement and analyzes simulation results compared with the current price to illustrate the advantages of this model.

Title of the Paper: Reliability and Performance Assessment of Multifarious Hybrid Cryptosystems

Abstract: Performance efficiency of symmetric and reliable key exchange of a-symmetric cryptosystems are being trendier towards the use of hybrid cryptosystems. Still, the question of an ideal and optimal selection of hybrid cryptosystem requires further analysis. Earlier studies have just evaluated the performance of few hybrid cryptosystems with smaller input dataset, without having the analysis of hybrid crypto-models in terms of two-way origin authenticity, false modification, feasibility, memory, power, forgery and password guessing attacks. In this article, firstly, we have reviewed several existing hybrid crypto-models through which symmetric and asymmetric algorithms can be modeled as an ideal hybrid cryptosystem. Secondly, we have practically applied the selected hybrid crypto-model to combine different symmetric and asymmetric algorithms in order to assure not only the accuracy but also the confidentiality, false modification and origin authentication of both parties. Finally, we have evaluated the performance of several hybrid cryptosystems (IDEA-RSA, AES-ECC, TDES-RSA, AES-RSA and RC2-RSA) through practical experimentations (encryption, decryption, certificate generation and verification) in order to analyze which hybrid cryptosystem is feasible for encrypting large input dataset with low electric-power. Results show that, joint AES-RSA scheme is significantly outperformed in data encryption and takes less electric power to guarantee optimal privacy goals.

Title of the Paper: Multi Agent System for Continuously Improving Enterprise Performance

Abstract: This paper examines the potential value of MAS technology to continuously improve enterprise capability to gain the highest performance level. In terms of contribution, it describes concepts and methodologies within the field of Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) that are appropriate to work with required performance levels. As well as presenting a comprehensive review of the meaningful framework for which MAS be investigated, it also defines the technical issues, which should be addressed in order to examine the current performance of the enterprise process, and test the level of quality suggest clear strategy to gain the optimization level using multi agent technology. We also uses the banking systems as a case study to prove the merits of the proposed MAS architecture and implementation methodology. Different categories of agents, their internal structures and functions are described. Programming solutions to MAS problems are modeled using the computation structure models since it includes data interactions among agents and the algorithm to implement the solution plan. Every solution plan should have a feedback to continuously monitoring and enhancing the target enterprise performance. Banking system is used to show the merits of using MAS to gain the required levels of performance.

Title of the Paper: Model and Algorithm of Artificial Immune System for the Recognitions of Single Symbol and their Comparison with Existing Methods

Abstract: The present paper is devoted to the creation of a model and algorithm of an artificial immune system (AIS). In the description of the proposed artificial immune system model and algorithm the terminology from the natural immune system is preserved. The adopted concept of B-cells are responsible for producing antibodies, a special class of complex proteins on the surface of B-lymphocytes, capable of binding to certain types of molecules (antigens) is used. The full set of antigenic receptors of all B-cells is a plurality of antibodies that can be produced by the organism. The proposed model is considered for realization of the problem of single symbols recognition. The uniform algorithm of realization of the artificial immune system for solving problems of recognition (recognition of single symbols) is developed, and its improved distributed version, using the concept of decentralized nature of immune system, is carried out. Accuracy of calculations is compared to that for other methods, particularly to neural networks. The program product involving the algorithms is developed, and computing experiments for each considered task are made.

Title of the Paper: The Connection of System SMPSL (System for Measurement Using a Computer in the School Laboratory) and CAA (Computer Aided Assessment) for Demonstration of Mathematical Modeling of Angle

Abstract: The angles are very often used in practice and it is good to obtain knowledge of their approximate estimation. We can use angles not only in mathematics, but it is necessary for some professions – such as mechanical engineering, civil engineering or astronomy. During the practical lessons we can check the accuracy of estimation of different indicated angles with the SMPSL system and displacement sensor. It is shown using a graph of approximation drawing angle. Subsequently we can practice the ability to estimate different angles by using the CAA (e.g. Maple TA). The CAA system enters the angle graphically or by using angular (or radiant) rate. Students try to fit in the estimation to a certain (sufficiently narrow) interval containing a pictured angle in solving the task. CAA system is able to evaluate a solution and it is able to demonstrate the mistake graphically and numerically.

Title of the Paper: The Application of SVM and GA-BP Algorithms in Stock Market Prediction

Abstract: Neural network has been popular in time series prediction in financial areas, because of their advantages in handling nonlinear systems. This paper hybridizes genetic algorithm and artificial neural network method (GA-BP), and hybridizes principal component analysis and support vector machine (PCA-SVM) to predict the next opening price in stock markets. Principal component analysis method is applied to extract contribution rate to meet 95% of the principal component as the input variables with FAW Car and Minmetals Rare Earth to be modeled and predicted, and genetic algorithm is employed to determine the initial weight and threshold of the BP neural network. The experiment results demonstrate that the combination methods (PCA-SVM and GA-BP) perform better, and the GA-BP method can get higher prediction accuracy than other three prediction methods.

Title of the Paper: Web Geoinformatics for Creating Schema & Interface for Mapping With Distributed GIS: Geomatics for Sustainable Societies

Abstract: The objective is development of an automated natural hazard zonation system with Internet-SMS warning utilizing geomatics for sustainable societies. At present no web-enabled warning system exists which can disseminate warning after hazard evaluation at one go and in real time. The functionality is to be modular in architecture having GIS-GUI, input, understanding, rainfall prediction, expert, output, and warning modules. Through this paper a significantly enhanced system integrated with Web-enabled-geospatial information has been proposed, and it can be concluded that an automated hazard warning system has been conceptualized and researched. However, now the scope is to develop it further. The research is aimed to create a dynamic and real-time spatial data infrastructure (SDI) solution by the way of continual sharable activity imparted by internet and ArcGIS/ArcIMS). At its core, the system is based on components GeoServer, GeoNetwork, Django, and GeoExt, that provide a platform for sophisticated web browser spatial visualization and analysis. Building on this stack, the present work utilises a map composer and viewer, tools for analysis, and reporting tools which are facilitated by ArcGIS/ArcIMS. It is designed on Web 2.0 principles to make it extremely simple to share data; easily add comments, ratings, tags connecting between ArcGIS/ArcIMS and existing GIS tools. To enhance distribution, the ArcGIS/ArcIMS enables simple installation and distribution; automatic metadata creation; search via catalogues and search engines. And to promote data collection the system is aimed to align incentives to create a sustainable SDI to align efforts so that amateur, commercial, non-governmental organisations and governmental creators all naturally collaborate, figure-out workflows, tools and licenses that work to assure data quality, inorder to promote data, constantly evolving, convincing and always up to date. The idea is to create a full featured platform for helping decision makers easily compose and share developments with spatial data.

Title of the Paper: GPS/SINS Navigation Method of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Based on Vision Aids

Abstract: In this paper, the GPS/SINS of the UAV (Unmanned Aerial vehicle) integrated navigation is introduced and the problems of the GPS/SINS in the UAV navigation application are also analyzed.It proposes a GPS/SINS integrated navigation system based on vision AIDS. It design the GPS/SINS integrated navigation filter based on vision aids, and gives out the filter state equations and deduces filter observation equation. The the polar constraint between images and expounds the calculation method of camera displacement projection based on polar projection are introduced, and related simulations are made. The simulation experiments show that through introducing cameras shift information observed by the vision system, it can improve the observation of heading angle error in the integrated navigation, and solve the problem of heading angle error convergence in the UAV flying state of the GPS/SINS integrated navigation system, and it can improve the precision and speed of the UAV attitude angle estimation.
