Abstract: Macrodiversity system with macrodiversity reception and several microdiversity receptions of selection combing (SC) or maximal ratio combining (MRC) type, which works in shadowed multipath fading environment under co-channel interference which suffers small scale fading and large scale fading is analyzed in this speech. In interference limited environment, the ratio of desired signal envelope and interference is important performance measure. The signal to interference ratio (SIR) is calculated for shadowing with Gamma distribution and some well known small scale fading distribution (Rayleigh, Rician, Nakagami-m, Weibull) or some of newer distributions, such as κ-µ, α-κ-µ, η-µ, ... Then, probability density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function (CDF) of output signals to interference ratios at microdiversity receptions outputs are obtained in the closed form. Thereafter, the first and the second order performance of macrodiversity reception output signal are derived in the closed form by using some special mathematical functions.
