Abstract: In recent times, smart Industry technology is emerging as the main research issues to increase the productivity and efficiency, where the smart machines collaborate with each other and with users and customers. Smart industry requires the use of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) convergence for production resources as well as four zero factors, including Zero Waiting-time / Inventory / Defect / Down-time. In this research, an energy management framework for smart industry will be illustrated. Using the proposed scheme, users can monitor their energy consumption, and control their utilities and equipment to avoid energy leakage.
Research Objectives: Due to the global warming and the increase of energy use, efficient energy consumption is the main research issues these days. Therefore, various kinds of energy management technologies for factories, buildings, and homes are studied and deployed to reduce carbon emission and energy cost.
Research Significance: The proposed energy management framework for smart industries provides energy managers and CEOs of the smart industry with monitoring services for energy consumption and controlling services for facilities and equipment. Using the framework, energy leakage can be reduced and energy consumption is efficiently managed in a smart industry.
Brief Biography of the Speaker: A distinguished academician, Prof. Jha is an alumnus of IIT, Madras, India (NIRF-01 - 2016,2017 & 2018). Prof. Jha is a former Director of CII Technology Centre and he has also served as the “Director”, “Campus Director”, “Chief Advisor”, “Principal” , “Acting Director”, Vice Principal,“HOD” and “Head – R & D” in reputed educational groups like LNCT, Medicaps, LPU (Lovely Professional University, India) etc. Distinctions
• “Award of Excellence” from Global Research & Development service @ Pattaya , Thailand.
• He has also received “Indian Leadership Award for Educational Excellence” on a National basis (equivalent to Best Principal / Director Award).
• 2018 Albert Nelson lifetime achievement award (USA)
