Abstract: The paper presents some of the recent work on the qualitative approach of the stability for 2d dynamical systems arising from excitable media. The comparative study initial versus feedback linearized model is taken into account, since it gives really special opportunities of study. The analysis is focused on the stability study for the models, initial versus non-linear controller form model. The important point of the research is that it is possible to find a Lyapunov function candidate working both for initial and non-linear controller form model. It is known that the feedback linearizing method changes the dynamics of the model (Ionescu 2019) and in this context, approaching the stability study becomes more important. The results could be further extended to 3d case.
